Allow Student to Read in Front of the Class

One strategy for developing reading fluency is to provide your students with many opportunities to read the same passage orally several times. To do this, you should first know what to have your students read. You should know how to have your students read aloud repeatedly. In the six grade reading class students are given  the opportunity to practice public reading, as I call it, in front of the class.  It is my opinion that this  promotes cooperative interaction with peers and makes the reading task appealing. This year six graders are eager to be given the opportunity to read orally behind a podium.
