Jose B. Munoz Campus Site Base Decision Making Minutes
On October 1st R.Garza 2008-2009 chair called the meeting to order
@ 4:12 p.m. Members present were: PK Teacher: Sonya Rodriguez (2
Years),
Kinder Teacher: Cecilia Herrera (1 Year), 1st Grade Teacher: Edna
Medina (2 Years) 2nd Grade Teacher: Rosalinda Garza (1Year), 3rd
Grade Teacher: Greg Castillo III (2 Years), 4th and 5th Grade
Teacher: Natalie Maldonado (1 Year), S. Espericueta, Dr. Salinas,
D. Winslow, Mr. Guajardo not present, Veronica Mendoza not present
and no parents or community/business members were present.
The first item up for business is the election of the 2009-2010
officers.
The Chair of SBDM Committee will be Cecilia Herrera, Co-Chair is
Sonyia Rodriguez and Secretary is Gregorio Castillo.
Miss Winslow gave the committee a copy of the ESL/Bilingual PBMAS
report and asked us to review it for the next SBDM Meeting.
The Grading Guidelines/Policy was discussed. The committee decided
that homework is usually not for a grade but discretion may be used
by teacher if they choose to pick it up for one.
The committee decided that the Super Cardinal Parade will be just
that a parade and not a presentation afterwards. The next parade
will be Friday, October 6, 2009 at 2:30 for all grade levels.
For discussion only was the discussion of Read for the Record by
Ms. Espericueta which will be held Oct. 8th- Library Activities
will be available for all.
Another item up for discussion only was Fire Prevention Week
October 5 – 9th/ Poster due the 9th on a Friday.
Discussed and voted on was the Spooky Fest. The Spooky Fest October
30th will be a nutrition exemption day based on unanimous consent
by the SBDM Committee; Valentines Day will no longer be a nutrition
exemption day. The District Festival on October 31st was also
discussed.
The Campus Plan- Pending Review for the next meeting.
The discussion of the teacher’s time of duty will be 7:30 until
4:15 Monday thru Thursday and Friday it will be 7:30 until 4:00
unless there is a meeting of some sort.
UIL Practice times were open up for discussion. The school will be
open Monday—Thursday until 5 and Friday until 4:30. The school will
be open every third Saturday starting October 3rd from 9 till
1:00.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:09.
