LVHS Red Ribbon Week Results

During the week of October 19-23, 2009, students, staff, and faculty celebrated Red Ribbon week with anti-drug activities and contests.
On Monday students were asked to wear a red shirt and also display
their craziest socks for “Sock it to Drugs Day”.
Tuesday was “Hat Off to a Drug Free Life”. Students and staff wore
their most unique caps/hats in celebration of a drug free life.
On Wednesday LVHS celebrated Twin Day as students– “Partnered Up
Against Drugs”. Students chose a partner to be their twin by using
similar clothing, hairstyle, and accessories.
Thursday was Hawaiian Day “Lei Off Drugs”. Students were sporting
Hawaiian skirts, shorts, caps, hats, and leis.
Friday (Spirit Day) – “Cards Against Drugs”. The grade level
wearing the most red clothing (pants, shirts, socks, shoes, signs,
etc…) at the pep rally won the most spirited contest.
There was also a Door Contest where the student leadership classes
decorated their doors with a drug-free theme.
Students were also invited to display their artistic talents by
submitting drawings, poetry and essays reflecting a drug free
lifestyle.
