Summer Program

June 02, 2010

During the first week of summer school and the ACE program the  students are working very hard to get their jobs done. Corina De Leon a 5th grade student at JB Munoz Elementary said that her math work wasn't very hard but it is still challenging.  Corina and Seth Selvog both 5th grade students said’’ We like coming to school because the teacher and us do projects and do fun activities.”

Their teacher Ms. Figueroa |  said” were waiting for the last administration of the TAKS test… were trying to do as much as we can.” Good luck Corina and Seth.

Yaritza a incoming 1st  grader says, “ I like coming to school.” She also says “I have fun here at school, it doesn’t  even feel like summer school. She also likes the ACE Program because “we do projects,” and they eat lots of snakes. As a six year old, Yaritza says she love school and can’t wait to get older.

Ms. Cortez has been our school nurse for all three campuses, she has been working with La Villa ISD for a year. She enjoys coming to school. She also enjoys making a difference in a child’s life. “ I love making a difference in a child’s life.” People may think that a school nurse is just for minor cuts and burses, but it’s so much more than that. “I have had incidents where  I need to inform a child’s parents/ guardian to tell them that their child needs stitches.  She says,     ”I hope to be here when you have children of our own.”
